Okay, so using Mark at IKN as an example and a guide I am going to try to actually be on Twitter when time allows (ha ha ha, but still… ). I have been using the platform as something of a dumb, automated tool to put posts from this site and Biiwii out there to a wider public. But it’s funny, I saw a reply … Continue reading Tweet Tweet

A Picture Perfect Ascending Triangle Breakout in a Near Picture Perfect Sector

The Medical Device sector is and has been our (NFTRH’s) favored sector for what is now years. And though I am a chart jockey, it is not only for technical reasons. As a former manufacturing guy with a customer base full of these companies (directly and indirectly Boston Scientific, Intuitive Surgical, Abbott Labs, GE Medical, Waters and more) I know that the sector has historically … Continue reading A Picture Perfect Ascending Triangle Breakout in a Near Picture Perfect Sector

A Gold Sector Fundamental View (incl. edit)

With gold testing its 200 day moving average this morning I thought I’d reproduce the first part of the precious metals segment from week’s Notes From the Rabbit Hole (NFTRH 497), including a daily chart of gold at the end showing the anticipated SMA 200 test. [edit] Steve Saville updates gold’s ‘true fundamentals’ here. Notice at the end what is not considered fundamentally material. Precious … Continue reading A Gold Sector Fundamental View (incl. edit)

Macro Whipsaw Continues in Metallic Indicators

Here is just one picture from said whipsaw, and its an important one as a cyclical indicator; Industrial Metals (positively correlated to the economy) and gold (generally negatively so). A really nice breakdown in IM/Gold was followed by a neck snapping spike and now… down periscope. The weekly goes from breakdown to fully intact to suspect again. I do not post here pretending that I … Continue reading Macro Whipsaw Continues in Metallic Indicators

Intel and Sanford Burnedstein

This is unfortunate for a member of the buttoned down, highly paid stock analyst community. Sanford Bernstein has evidently been bearish on Intel all the way up, most recently reaffirming a ‘sell’ on the stock: April 24, 2018: Intel (NASDAQ:INTC)‘s stock had its “sell” rating reiterated by research analysts at Sanford C. Bernstein in a research note issued to investors on Tuesday. They presently have … Continue reading Intel and Sanford Burnedstein

NFTRH Update; A Couple of Odd (not really) Bedfellows, Post-Election

As I have belabored over the years, the same implications that can spur a rising US dollar can go hand in hand with a bullish case for gold mining. That is because ‘inflation trades’ tend to drive gold’s price down in relation to oil, materials and in some cases risk ‘on’ items like stocks (although gold has been stair-stepping higher vs. the S&P 500 since … Continue reading NFTRH Update; A Couple of Odd (not really) Bedfellows, Post-Election

Attn: NFTRH Subscribers – Gmail Admin Issue [w/ 2 EDITS]

[edit 2] With fingers crossed I just sent off another update (showing a correlation gold stock players will find interesting) and nothing got kicked back! Looks like we’re good to go.  [edit] An email sent from an alternate account appears to have gotten through. This problem has on rare occasion happened in the past with Gmail’s IP. As I understand it, they rotate IPs and … Continue reading Attn: NFTRH Subscribers – Gmail Admin Issue [w/ 2 EDITS]
