The gold sector's fundamental backdrop improved with gold vs. stock markets holding up trend parameters. But the majority may see dollar weakness as a key to the sector's fundamentals. These…
I keep this site mostly on topic. But first Bowie, then Prince and now Ali and Mr. Hockey?... we have lost some great ones so far in this year that…
Yesterday we noted the Gold-Silver ratio and the US dollar would not remain disconnected and with today's market disturbance, indeed they are back on the same page. While gold is…
An interesting view of two items that are still bearish and one item that is not. This is one of many multi-index charts we use for US and global markets…
This is actually potentially beneficial for USD (in the very short-term) and future gold mining fundamental trends alike. It is also a potentially good thing for a future 'inflation trade'…
A very simple update (it ended up being a little less simple, as usual) for a very simple situation. We have noted that an anti-USD ‘inflation trade’ bounce has been in progress. This has featured rising stocks, commodities and yes gold bugs, precious metals. It’s Bob Hoye’s “all one market” syndrome and it is predicated on perceptions of a dovish Fed, a weak US dollar and the momentum of speculators.

NFTRH is not a service that tries to instruct about what is best for others because I do not know the detailed situations of others. So the mode is to interpret the markets as best as possible from a fundamental and technical view, and also show what I, a lowly individual market participant, am doing with my own funds per my own unique situation.
After an interaction with an NFTRH subscriber (the ones with whom I have corresponded are so smart it can be intimidating sometimes) who debates the view of a pervasively inflationary…
[edit] Please see a new post with more perspective on a would-be 'inflation trade' and its limitations. The following excerpt is the opening segment from this week's edition of Notes…
