Playing the Risky Stock Market, ALC Edition

A late-stage, risky stock market is still a bullish stock market

It is why we have macro-fundamentals AND technicals. The macro-fundamentals degraded throughout 2024, but the technicals? They trended up. Trends, baby. Your friends (until they break). It is a risky stock market, but risk rides with the bull. As the bull rises, generally so does risk.

Anyway, long trades are still out there to be had. Reference OKTA, which I used as an example for the future NFTRH++ tier of service, and ALC, which I added per the trade log on Friday:

Trades in a risky stock market

One handle break, made to order!

ALC, in a risky stock market

So I will speculate with the trends, as one of our two primary views has been for another up-surge amid Trump 2 and its market/economic optimism. But the caveat to this is that a bear market will technically begin with the trends firmly up, by definition of a final high. But the bear will not be confirmed until some time later. Ah, you gotta love a bullish and risky stock market.

As to the former and once again president, he said a lot of things on inauguration day that the stock market should like. But I am of the opinion – backed by data – that he was left with a developing mess on his hands. I don’t think his jingles and 1970s era policies can stop that tide. Could be wrong though, so hence the use of technicals and market internals.
