Calls for funding US chip production
The market will show me to be wrong if the likes of AMAT and LRCX break down. I hold both of them because while they are part of the supply-constrained Semiconductor sector, they are not chip makers. They are chip making capacity providers. The equipment used manufacture Semiconductors.
Here is a report that showed up on my Fidelity screen about the likelihood of subsidies for US chip production capacity. I doubt the auto industry can make good on its attempt to hog the majority of chip production since it’s a Green New Dealing administration in charge of the coming corporate welfare. This is not a political football and is corporate welfare I agree with as the US must protect its IP and have domestic production rather than depend on Taiwan and especially, China. Trump would’ve overseen something similar.
