Sad Trader, Happy Trader, Awestruck Trader… Blank Trader?? This Reminds Me…

It’s the return of MSM Figurehead Trader! Today, our favorite NYSE trader is drawing a blank on the market

Worlds are colliding!

For reference, you can click the two graphics for the original posts.

This reminded me that an NFTRH subscriber happened to bump into Sad, Happy, Awestruck and dare I say “Bozo the Clown” Trader (well, I did say once) [edit: it was actually a reader who suggested dubbing him that, which makes me feel better ;-)], and it instantly changed Mr. Trader from a personal meme (and product of CNBC and CNN) to a human being for me.

My own damn shtick, come to life!

Here’s today’s MSM bit (clicking Mr. Trader yields the article, which I don’t care about), with Blank Trader checking the tape on a Monday morning trying to figure out the market just like you and me.

He’s not sad. Not happy. Certainly not awestruck in any way. Just another morning in the stock market (photo is actually from June, but work with me here).

[edit] In the time it took to write this post, CNBC replaced Blank Trader with some really serious kid staring laser holes through his bank of computer screens. The kid’s into it, I guess.

With permission, I now post the pics I received back in late August from subscriber MB. Here’s MB’s first email. This was just so damn funny and now I have a soft spot in my heart for happy, sad, pensive, awestruck, jubilant, terrified and whatever other sort of trader he’s going to be served to us as in the future.

Frankly, had I seen him in person I’d have probably asked for an autograph from this “rock star”. :-)

I (the goober to the right) was in New York last week to see Billy Idol and Joan Jett at the Garden. I’m from SC BTW. I decided to take a stroll downtown to see the NYSE and just as I walked up, who else but our favorite ham was going through the security gate to enter. I yelled out “rock star” and he went from the second picture [1st pic below] to a big grin and came over to fence, grabbed my phone and took a couple shots after he slid his Hollywood glasses on and yucked it up.

Just to let you know I’m doing God’s ground work for your sentiment indicator.

MB’s response after I inquired about posting.

Hey it’s just a picture. Do what you want. But it was surreal that the ONLY trader i recognize is him, and just as I walked up (this was after lunch time) there he was. I’m not a picture guy so I asked him okay to take his mug but he acted like this was old hat and snatched my phone away.

MB calls out “hey rock star!”

Rock star hams it up for the camera.

Gary laughs his ass off.

Thank you, MB!
