Grantham on the Melt-Up

In doing some work for Biiwii, I saw this title pop up as shared by one of Biiwii’s guest authors.

Bracing Yourself for a Possible Near-Term Melt-Up

The guest author’s opening line sounded a bit dismissive of Grantham’s premise and so, with my editor’s hat on I decided not to use his post. But with my market manager’s hat on I decided to post Grantham’s report with all the respect it deserves without the commentary of another.

Why? Because I remember this man as one of only a few others (that I knew of) who got bullish around the same time I did in early 2009. The others were ‘permabears’ Prechter and Hussman and my departed friend Jonathan Auerbach, who ran a nimble and on-point specialty brokerage in NYC.

When someone who has proved himself to you (in this case by being appropriately bullish at the most difficult of times) has something to say, he deserves all the respect in the world. You can read the full report by clicking the link above.
