No time for a promo because my daughter and I have tickets to see Bryan Ferry. We both love early Roxy Music and it turns out his set list, while including things like Avalon and Love is the Drug that I don’t love, includes things like Ladytron, If There Is Something, In Every Dream Home a Heartache and in a recent encore, Remake… Re freakin’ Model, one of my favorite songs of all time.
A 2001 Roxy Music reunion with no Eno, but with a lady playing an electronic gizmo much like Eno’s early noise box/microwave oven. Click for the video (Remake/Remodel). Making music like this in 1971? You’ve got to be kidding me. This band was a million miles ahead of its time, as was the weird and multi-talented singer.
