American Eagle Gold is actually American Eagle Copper and Gold
American Eagle Gold (AE.V/AMEGF) continues to drill, and well, it appears the market likes the recent holes. I had held it as it lumbered along in its base, subject to the fortunes of the wider mineral exploration space. Then they hit a hole in late January, spiked, and made a beautiful flag back to support, where I increased the positions on Monday.
Now another hole, another nice market reaction for this copper and gold driller. If only it always worked this way (all too often charts tell you one thing and reality another, especially on bottom feeds).
In the big picture geopolitical macro, I believe it is a new era for mineral exploration. There will of course be duds, scams and the like. But there will also be many-bagger moonshots based on drilling results. AE has a long way to go before talk of a moonshot.
But I hold it among several. Only one of which, Talon Metals (TLO.TO) has really flipped its lid. But I had to sit through months of paper losses on that one before finally taking massive profits (and buying back on a pullback). Point being, it’s not gonna be easy, but I think it’s going to be rewarding if the scammy ones can be avoided. *
The thing with exploration is that you can take profits, cut losses, guess about highs/lows, but one drill and you can be left behind. Hence, no matter the market view, I’m leery about selling out of these holdings if I have trust in them. **
From NFTRH 903:
With what I think is developing in 2026, I don’t see why speculative mineral exploration should not be part of the package as well. The home of many of those specs, Canada’s TSX-V index, has already made a decent pullback from resistance to a support level.

* Thanks to subscriber Michael, a geologist who guided me (and hence, NFTRH) with both AE and Talon. Thanks also to another subscriber, Greg, another geo who guided me on a couple others. They are in essence his companies. So no public mention until I intro him and let him speak for himself (if I ever get the head space to get the podcast going). Same goes for Michael, CEO of a nickel hole driller.
** Indeed, Greg impressed upon me early on the importance of these companies having backing or at least interest by larger mining entities. These do.
