NFTRH++: 200dg Setup — $HDSN

While Gary and I hash out logistics, I wanted to share what I wrote yesterday for a trade setup type that I’ve used off and on for a number of years. In full disclosure, this is about as good of a setup I see (and I’ve been watching for weeks) and it was fortunate that some small shop ‘upgraded’ it today. The lesson is not that it worked out incredibly well, but that it’s a look that I’ve come to trade time and again.

As a disclaimer which will be posted on the site, I am not an investment adviser and these are trade ideas for each to consider on their own. Also, I’ve never used WordPress and I’ve been making some mistakes trying this out, but in time the posts should become shorter and standardized. If/when a Discord room accompanies the posts, the delivery may change, but the ability to chat about a setup in a room format should help flesh out what perhaps a simple chart might not. Like Gary, I stare at charts, but everyone does it differently and has their own set of preferences for what makes a good setup.

Post Mortem:

Immediate disclaimer is trade setups will not work this well and timely 99.9% of the time. Dumb luck on some shop upgrading the stock the day after I put it on watch and then went long. In this example, I bot 2K shares at 6.765, sold 1K at 7.05, 500sh at 7.4402, 250 at 7.95, and the final trailer of 250sh at 8.11.

NFTRH++ trade setup ideas are presented for consideration and further research only, not as recommendations. I am not an investment adviser and these are trade ideas for each to consider on their own.

Hammer

My name is Joe and answer to that, Hammer or GreyBeard. I grew up in northern Minnesota and began my career as a bean counter before transitioning to the finance world, first as a junior analyst / trader on an emerging markets desk. I moved on to perform due diligence and capital allocation for a NYC based hedge fund of funds for five years before joining a short only hedge fund as an analyst and principal. My interests are volunteering at my local food bank, watching the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Kraken, and listening to music and attending as many concerts my aging body can handle.
