We compacted with more words and less charts (but still a ton of stock charts). Carrying on with ongoing themes that have been generally staying on track.
I had a good week last week and if not for some gold exploration crap would be handily out performing the broad market instead of just modestly out performing. Ah, but that’s the life of a would-be mining investor – and in certain little crappers that is what I am. I for one look forward to seeing if the sector can get a bounce going. It’s technically bearish after all, constructive sentiment and seasonal elements notwithstanding. Overall I am significantly lighter than I would be if I get a real bull in my sights.
We also took a look at the US stock market from an earnings standpoint and the fiscal corporate welfare recipients are not disappointing. But it’s the market’s reaction to these stellar results that will be key… along with another SOMA bond maturity date coming up at month’s end. Interesting markets for the dog days of summer.
