Among many things in motion right now, the relationship between the S&P 500 and HUI comes into view. This relationship did something in 2001 2000 that is similar to what seems to be in progress today. If so, it could be short-term bearish for gold stocks (and bullish for the S&P 500) but then before too long, very much the other way around.
