It was my one and only short position (currently very high cash is now the risk manager), and it was taken on a top tick but not on a setup, which is my preferred way to short (because I have a psych vulnerability about being short unless I have a certain confidence level and parameters to operate by).
Here’s the chart from what is rapidly becoming my favored source (TradingView), as the increasingly frustrating Stockcharts.com was wonking out on me earlier. A 9%+ profit is taken on a short of the Materials sector by a guy who is not normally very good from the short side.
It will probably settle to the SMA 50 or maybe even fill the gap below it. But I will not be greedy in an area (shorting) that I often have issues with.
